Browns Batteries, a strategic business unit of Browns Group, has launched a special program to distribute Midtronics battery testers among its island dealer network with the goal of streamlining the process of battery testing and managing battery inventory.

Renowned American brand, Midtronics has been developing advanced battery management solutions since 1984.

As part of the first step of the said initiative, Browns will invest more than Rs 20 million to develop a custom battery analysis system for automotive and motorcycle batteries from Browns, including Exide, Lucas and Dagenite.

Browns plans to introduce Midtronics battery testers to 200 dealers during the first phase of the project. Resellers will be able to select the exact battery model from the analyzer system, which is a custom designed feature.

As this can easily be done with the push of a button, it dramatically reduces the time it takes to check the battery status compared to conventional methods.

With batch verification and code-based claim tracking options, dealers will be able to complete their routine tasks hassle-free. The tester can be upgraded with new features with software updates from Midtronics – the original manufacturer of analsyers – to meet the demands of the ever-changing automotive world. In addition, the Midtronics tester can be upgraded to function as a Battery Management Information System (BMIS), which is a cloud-based analytical solution designed to support the process of equipment management. battery test, dealership personnel and operational activities.
