Hyderabad CP inaugurates network of 100 CCTV cameras

Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Tuesday inaugurated a network of 100 CCTV cameras installed in four police stations in Asifnagar Police Division.

The cameras were installed in important areas within the limits of the police stations of Humayunnagar, Asifnagar, Langer Houz and Golconda.

Speaking on the occasion, Anjani Kumar said the cameras were installed at a cost of Rs 30 lakh with community participation. “The crime rate has been brought under control by installing closed circuit television cameras on the streets and communities of the city. Cases can be detected easily using CCTV camera images and this can also deter offenders, ”he said.
