Lucknow: the booty of a jewelry store filmed, the police suspect the involvement of professionals

A gang of unidentified armed thieves on Wednesday looted a jewelry store named Tirupati Jewelers located in Sector B of the Aliganj region in Lucknow.

According to a report in the Jagran, the incident took place in broad daylight at around 1 p.m. when the infidels arrived on motorbikes and broke into the jewelry store within the boundaries of the Aliganj police station.

Panic gripped the locals when thieves opened fire after looting the store and then fled with money and gold ornaments worth lakh rupees.

The police were quickly informed of the incident, as a result of which senior police officers as well as detectives from the Surveillance and Crime Directorate reached the scene.

The police even recovered a 32 caliber shell and a few cartridges on the spot.

Upon investigation, police scanned video footage of more than two dozen CCTV systems set up on various routes to the jewelry store.

After scanning the CCTV footage, police suggested the loot had been committed in a well-planned manner. Additionally, police suspect the involvement of professionals as a similar burglary took place at the same jewelry store around four years ago in 2017.

According to officials, the footage also suggests that the entire gang worked as two teams consisting of two members each in which one team committed the crime while the other team remained in the background to support the first team in executing his plan and helping them escape. .

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses also revealed that the perpetrators fled the place via different roads which then merged at the same junction ahead.

However, the police are still trying to identify the suspects and the case is being investigated.
