Bagalpur: In a shocking incident reported in Bhagalpur district, Bihar, a police team on a night patrol stole a fan lying in the veranda of a house. The incident reportedly took place in the Dholbazza area of ​​the district.

The whole incident was caught on CCTV. The video footage shows the police patrol stopping their vehicle in front of a house and leading the fan out of the house. The video went viral on social media.

When the owner of the house, Subodh Choudhary, went to the police station to claim his ventilator, he was kicked out of the police station. The incident reportedly took place on the night of September 26.

Finding his fan missing, Subodh questioned the local about it and eventually learned of the theft from the police, according to a report by local Hindi daily Prabhat Khabar.

When Subodh arrived at the police station, the cops told him no one had taken his fan. However, when the owner showed the police CCTV footage, the cops returned his fan.

Meanwhile, Naugachia SP ordered an investigation into the incident after the matter became public.

Defending the action of the officers, Dholbazza Police Station SHO Prabhat Kumar claimed that the ventilator lay abandoned in front of the house so the officers took it away. The ventilator was then returned to its owner, SHO said.
