Richardson, United States – Mfuturethe networking software provider building the future of networks with cloud-native software that runs on any cloud and transforms the way the world connects, announced the establishment of a converged packet core fully cloud native, Open Radio Access Network (Open RAN) and O-RAN Compliant Radio Units (O-RU) for Triangular communications which will enable improved and secure service for residents of Montana.

“We are very pleased to provide this historic end-to-end turnkey solution with all products based on O-RAN interfaces, including Packet Core, RAN and O-RU – with all components upgradable to 5G,” said Mavenir CEO Pardeep Kohli. “These transitions are vital for today’s communications service providers (CSPs) to maintain their competitive advantage and ensure the security of their critical communications networks.”

Triangle Communications is carrying out a complete transformation of its network with Mavenir, as part of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Rip and Replace program, replacing equipment and services from vendors that pose a threat to national security. Mavenir’s converged packet core, Open RAN and O-RU deployment is the network aligned to the requirements defined by the Secure and Reliable Telecommunications Act. Mavenir has replaced Chinese network components not approved by the US government and others on a turnkey basis with an open Mavenir network infrastructure headquartered in the US. Delivery was completed prior to FCC Rip and Replace funding, ensuring Montana residents safe and reliable access.

“We selected Mavenir for its core, Open RAN, O-RU, and systems integration capabilities and expertise to quickly respond to FCC removal and replacement requirements,” says Craig Gates, CEO of Triangle Communications. “We understand the challenges of working in remote areas, like Montana, which is why the Mavenir network was perfect for this unique region and clientele.”
