The UK’s largest tour operator has cut more holidays amid continuing uncertainty ahead of the UK government’s review of travel restrictions.
UIS has canceled trips to countries listed in the amber and red categories of the traffic light system until the middle of next month as holidays at most UK airports are impacted.
The company recently halted travel to Turkey and several other destinations due to restrictions on travel to resorts.
He said he had “unfortunately had to cancel all holidays to the following red and orange destinations” up to and including June 13: Aruba, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece – Crete (Chania), Halkidiki, Kefalonia, Preveza, Samos, Santorini, Skiathos, Thassos, Zante – Italy, Jamaica Spain – Mainland Spain, Formentera, Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca and La Palma.
All TUI Lakes & Mountains stays are canceled until June 13 inclusive, while trips to Bulgaria, Cape Verde, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Mexico, Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey are suspended until June 27.
The company said, “All customers affected by these cancellations will be contacted directly and may request a full cash refund, or move to a later date or alternate vacation and receive a booking incentive.
“If we need to cancel future vacations due to updated government guidelines, we will contact you directly and endeavor to give guests at least seven days’ notice. “

Despite the cancellations, UIS added five new weekly services to the green list of destinations without quarantine in the Algarve.
The new services are: Birmingham to Faro: weekly (Sunday) from May 30 to October 31; Manchester to Faro: weekly (Thursday) from June 3 to – October 28; Newcastle to Faro: weekly (Thursday) from May 27 to October 28; Newcastle to Faro: weekly (Sunday) from May 30 to October 30; Gatwick to Faro: weekly (Thursday) June 3-17.
These flights are in addition to the 14 weekly flights already on sale from UK airports throughout the summer. TUI operates flights to Faro from East Midlands, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Midlands, Gatwick, Newcastle, Manchester and Stansted.
