Watch | Delhi police use drone camera to patrol after Jahangirpuri violence

On Saturday evening, members of two communities clashed in the Jahangirpuri area of ​​Delhi after stones were allegedly thrown at a Hanuman Jayanti procession.

In the stone-throwing incident and ensuing clash in the Jahangirpuri area, nine people, including eight police officers and one civilian, police said.

In a video released by the news agency ANI, Delhi Police are seen using drone cameras to patrol Jamia Nagar and Jasola to ensure law and order in the areas.

The drone is seen hovering over closely linked houses in Jamia Nagar and Jasola area as after some time policemen are seen walking in a group.

Police arrested 14 people in connection with the incident. Police sources said more suspects had been identified using CCTV images and videos on social media and efforts were underway to arrest them.

A case has been filed by the Delhi Police relating to riots, attempted murder and the guns law. Ten teams of officers from the Criminal Branch and Special Cell were formed to investigate the case.

Delhi Police also today called a local committee meeting, asked them to counter rumors and misinformation, and ensured a fair investigation into the clash.

Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana said on Saturday the situation was being closely monitored. Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Asthana about the matter. Sources said a copy of the investigation report would also be sent to the Home Office.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal condemned the stone throwing and called for action against those involved. “Call on everyone to hold hands and keep the peace,” he said on Twitter.
